In our careers, we grow and learn from the challenges, organizational changes, personalities and other perceived obstacles as we evolve as professionals and as humans, balancing life along with career. Our jobs and careers act as a playground for our life lessons to play out and for our souls to evolve.
Often, as professionals we focus on the literal learnings, intellectualizing our challenges rather than paying attention to that higher meaning - including the intuitive whispers and lessons that our Soul is providing in each encounter. We are always the student of life. And if we can 'think' outside the literal, intellectual realm, we will understand and have an inner knowing that there is much more to our jobs and careers - with obstacles meant to teach us, opening us up to a far deeper meaning in why we are here and how our jobs and careers serve us. |
"We have an inner knowing that there is much more to our jobs and careers, with obstacles meant to teach us"

Body Code & Belief Code
You may wonder what this has to do with the Body Code and Belief Code. How we perceive and approach each career obstacle is a product of our lived life experiences. This means pre-existing trapped emotions, traumas and other energy imbalances impact the way we - as unique individuals - individually perceive and react to each obstacle. Energy healing, with modalities like the Body Code and Belief Code, can help unburden us from energetic imbalances that cause us to be triggered by job scenarios, feel more frustrated than the scenario calls for, or may otherwise affect our ability to achieve our career goals.
Metaphors on our Career JourneyConsider the career professional as a mountain climber, ascending the summit of their career. The next peak on that journey may be a promotion or a new job that brings greater joy. But along the way, we may sense or feel an intangible weight in our proverbial backpack. Unsure of what it is, how much it weighs, or how many “issues” it represents, we don't know what to do to unload it. The bricks in the backpack (right) represent this weight. You may feel that you’ve got your eye on the ‘right’ prize or summit, but something is holding you back or “weighing” you down.
Consider these other analogies in the scene of your career progression:
|
These could be belief systems inherited from ancestors. Or past life lessons and hardships that we are meant to address in this life. Because you have no context to these ‘weights’, you don’t realize these weights as unique to you. We may presume “everyone feels this way”. So you move along in your career, just taking this unstable ground in stride and try to ascend anyway.
Dust & Dirt Along the Path:
In addition to what we are born with, we pick up some dust and dirt along the way.
In addition to what we are born with, we pick up some dust and dirt along the way.
- The Weighted Pack: Every setback can feel like another brick added to your bag. The higher you go, the weight feels doubled due to the thinning air (the decreasing energy from carrying and fighting it so long).
- The Thinning Air (Depleting Resources): If you keep pushing onward without addressing the energetic weight, you have to do more with less "oxygen," making every pound in the pack feel more punishing. This can also happen when you stay in a job not aligned with your value, where you’ve learned the lessons you were meant to learn, you feel unsupported, but have not followed your inner guidance and moved on.
- Storm clouds and other ‘trail’ obstacles: Couple any of this “weight” with unexpected and highly disruptive change – reorganizations, leadership changes, new corporate strategies, or layoffs that simply feel ‘wrong’ or misguided and it can create their own ‘blizzard’ at key times on your “climb”. You may perceive them as setbacks, making it harder to stay motivated. But in fact, if you’re tapped into a higher level message and are working intuitively rather than literally, these changes can serve as signs for a change. The Universe may be delivering a message in an albeit interesting package, or may be serving up a new lesson for you to learn before your next job change or step on the ‘climb’. You’ve heard that life is happening “for” you not “to” you and these ‘setbacks’ in our careers are no different.

So what type of lessons can come from such ‘environmental’ or organizational change?

"Rather than fight it intellectually, what would happen if you actually followed that inner knowing or whispered voice – forgetting a fear of judgment from colleagues, superiors, family and friends?"

Our Uniqueness Means Unique, not Formulaic, PathsIn reality, we are each unique - with our own realities, energetic imbalances, ancestral influences and past lives. These collectively create our unique experiences in life and therefore our unique perspective on job and career. This is why trying to follow strict formulas of how to advance in our careers may not work in the long run if they ever work for you at all. There is more to why we are in a job or career, why we are favoring a particular path. Our soul knows the reason, and will intuitively guide us to our next step if we pay attention and listen.

Put the true 'you' first in your career: The Soul's Perspective
It’s important to step back from intellectually “forcing” our career decisions and instead tune in and tap into a more subtle message or guidance we’re being given. Rather than fight it intellectually, what would happen if you actually followed that inner knowing or whispered voice – forgetting a fear of judgment from colleagues, superiors, family and friends?
Getting clear on why you are making any career decision to understand if it’s truly for you is a powerful approach. This is where we can otherwise get weighted down by external expectations – of society’s recommended “formula” for career advancement, be it from trusted sources, superiors, colleagues, or family pressures. If we really tune in, we will know if we are making a decision for ourselves or caving to pressures of jobs and career decisions that are not aligned to joy or our heart’s desire.
